Trainee NDT Technician

Applus is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a Trainee NDTTechnician based within our Reigate Test House. This role will provide you withthe training, knowledge and support to carry out in service and pre-service NonDestructive Testing using the techniques you will become certified in duringyour traineeship.

KeyResponsibilities of the Trainee NDT Technician include but are not limited to:

·        Trainingfor NDT Level 2 in Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic and Radiography

·        Assistingwith the day-to-day activities within the busy Test House

·        Bookingin the work and generating certificates and delivery notes

·        Carryingout control checks on consumables and equipment

·        Generalhousekeeping of the Test House

What we would like from the Trainee NDT Technician:

·        Enthusiasmfor training and learning in a new discipline and industry

·        Fluentin Microsoft Office packages including word and excel.

·        GCSEin Mathematics and English

·        Abilityto communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be a strong teamplayer

·        Positiveattitude and outlook towards all aspects of the Trainee NDT Technician role

Desirable skills, knowledge and experienceof the Trainee NDT Technician:

·        A desire to progress beyond the role of Trainee NDT Technician oncequalified in the necessary disciplines

·        Some engineering knowledge or background

·        Forklift licence

·        UK manual driving licence
