Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing Mechanical Package Engineeringdiscipline and EPC Contractor in delivery of all aspects of design, equipmentprocurement, installation,construction, commissioning and completions. Ensures technical requirements such as project specifications, datasheets, procedures, etc. developed during EPC fully comply with projectrequirements. Provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitateresolution of mechanical engineering issues to meet project objectives andmilestones
Key Job Accountabilities

Provides mechanical engineering expertise, design knowledge,quality assurance, and leadership in supervising and administering Mechanicalteam output in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule.

Directs the preparation and stewardship of mechanicalengineering scope of work in EPC contract, advises and recommends designprocesses, proven technologies and alternative studies to optimise project costand schedule.

Maintains close liaison with members of Engineering Team andalignment with the Engineering Manager on mechanical engineering needs,objectives, and requirements.

Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technicallyaligned and in compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards of BusinessConduct and Project Management System.

Manages EPC Contractor's mechanical and LNG tank engineering activities including validationof resources, personnel qualifications and experience; usage of appropriatedesign tools/computer hardware/software; adherence to project objectives,requirements, specifications, standards, and design verification processes.

Assesses and validates EPC Contractor’s capability inproviding all technical documents, progress measurement and reporting andrecommends additional technical support to address gaps.

Manages the discipline deliverables and field engineering insupport of fabrication and construction activities.

Responsible for the mechanical engineering, in particularLNG tanks, schedule and related milestones, provides data (narrative, charts,graphs, change management recommendations) and recovery plans to address anyschedule delays if any.

Accountable for knowledge of and sharing previous lessonslearned, capturing and communicating current lessons learned to support reviewteams and future projects.

Review, update and amend procedures and specifications toensure that all Mechanical engineering references are up to date and relevant.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering equivalent.

15 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineering with abroad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards,specifications, codes, safety criteria in onshore

Experience with LNG Liquefaction facilities design,construction and operations.

Requires demonstrated broad experience with mechanicalstatic equipment design (Vessels, heat exchangers, towers, Drums) andfamiliarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codessuch as ASME Sec VIII Div 1 &2, ASME Sec I, TEMA, API 650, API 560, API530, API 537, NFPA, NACE, ASTM, API 534 etc.)

Demonstrated experience with managing packaged equipment(water treating, boilers, utility compressors, N2 packages, flare)
