NDT Aerospace Technician

Applus is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a NDT Aerospace Technicianbased within our Poole office on a permanent contract. This role will involve beingpart of a high integrity driven NDT team.

KeyResponsibilities of the NDT Technician include but are not limited to:

·        In house and on siteNDT inspection, working within a motivated team.

·        Carrying outday-to-day NDT methods to aerospace prime specifications for clients andkeeping the Operations Manager up to date with job status and progress.

·        Accountable for aspectsof each activity to ensure the safe and effective completion of work on timeand within budget.

·        Maintain timesheetsand all other necessary paperwork

·        Keep up to date andunderstand, all current company, client and/or legislative requirementsaffecting conventional and advanced NDT techniques and conduct all work inaccordance with them.

·        Produce writtenreports of inspections, as required, within the company’s quality controlprocedures and to ensure all reports are produced and submitted to the clientwithin time and to company’s quality control procedures.

·        Assist in thetraining and development of less experienced members of staff.

Whatwe would like from the NDT Technician:

·        Holda minimum of 2 NDT disciplines including; UT, RT, PT & MT with one of thedisciplines being RT or UT, additional training and qualifications can beachieved to the right candidate

·        EN4179experience and knowledge

·        Knowledgeof NADCAP audits

·        Knowledgeof quality, health and safety and office certification

·        Abilityto communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be a strong teamplayer

·        Positiveattitude and outlook towards all aspects of the NDT Technician role

·        Methodical,well organized and able to prioritise and manage own workload.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experienceof the NDT Technician:

·        Knowledge of composites and aerospace parts are essential

·        PCN SNT knowledge also an advantage

·        Knowledge of services provided by Applus UK.
