Chartered Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Key tasks and Duties:

• Assume responsibility and represent the design departmentfor all aspects related to geotechnical works such as Pile designs, retainingwalls design, recommendations I soil parameters for shallow and deep foundationdesigns (Roads & Structures & Buildings) etc.

• Assist in design and provide recommendations I soilparameters for Deep excavations, Deep basements, Slope Stability AnalysisCalculations and seismic assessments, Tunneling (TBM & Conventional –Mechanical excavation methods) Earthworks.

• Assist in external & internal coordination pertinent togeotechnical works & design.

• Review, comment I recommend acceptance or otherwise ofrelated consultants' submissions

• Liaise with utilities providers and other stakeholders.

• Performance of actual design duties when directed.

• Performance of other related duties as per managementinstructions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc / BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from arecognized university.

• CEng, PE, PEng or equivalent Chartership is a must

• Minimum demonstrable experience of 4 years as a CharteredEngineer

• 15 years of demonstrable relevant experience in design &construction of infrastructure projects, with satisfactory experience in allrelated disciplines

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience withmanagement capacity.

• Working knowledge of written and spoken Arabic would beadvantageous

• Excellent written and verbal English language communicationskills

• Qualification in project management is an advantage

• Proven experience of working on site, Laboratory Testing-Develop and manage geotechnical laboratory testing program
