An excellent opportunity has presented it’s self withinour Aberdeen office. We are looking for a high caliber Hydro Testing Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. We are also looking for a temporary Hydro Tester to cover a period of  3 months

Role Purpose

Based in our Aberdeen Offices you will work as part of the team managing all aspects of testing equipment within the Hydro bay in a safe manner, and in accordance with all national and international legislation applicable at the location of the test. Assist in the preparation of equipment for a hydro test, by settingup the equipment within the hydro bay, loading and unloading of the equipment.You will also be required to assist with all aspects of paperwork and computer reporting in relation to all hydro testing, while ensuring arrangements are made for equipment to receive required service, maintenance or calibration in a timely manner;

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Hydro Testing and the importance of adhering to all safety policies, barrier systems, PPE and locking system within the workshop areas. Verify the clients requirements have been understood and followed as per the latest Hydro procedure and assist with contacting witnesses and liaising with them when they arrive


Hours of work are:

  • Monday to Friday 7.45am to4.15pm day shift

  • Monday to Friday 6pm –2.00am

  • Overtime when required


Knowledge, skills andexperience required


  • Previous Hydro Testing experience

  • Ability to work on their own initiative andwork well in a team environment

  • The ability to Communicate with Colleagues,Managers & Clients 

  • Excellent organisation skills as well asbeing able to prioritise workloads

  • Ability to have structured approach to problem solving



  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

  • Counter balance Forklift Licence

  • PCN Level 2 qualifications
