Head of Construction - Onshore

Job Description:

Reporting to the NFXP Offshore Construction and InstallationDivision Manager Pipelines & Cables, the Head of Construction Onshore isresponsible for managing the construction activities of NFXP Offshore Pipelines& Cables related to the onshore works up including onshore construction,beach landing, valve station and connection to the shore pull. To ensure objectivesare safely met within the approved scope and schedule and to the highestquality standards applicable.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safetyon construction site. Implement the safety observations reporting andmonitoring.

  • Lead the onshore construction team and keep the teamcommitted to targets defined by the project management

  • Assist NFXP Offshore Construction and Installation DivisionManager Pipelines & Cables in executing Project responsibilities for theonshore scope of work.

  • Anticipate, prepare and manage all construction, liftingsand shore related activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectivesare met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.

  • Ensure coordination for onshore site activities and providetechnical support with contractor, quality, safety, planning and engineering.

  • Review EPCI Contractor documentation related to onshoreconstruction and participate in Constructability reviews, Hazid /HAZOP andsimilar workshops during EPCI phase.

  • Manage the construction input into gate deliverables andsite implementation.

  • Ensure Contractor onshore construction, shore pull, cablelanding documents and other submittals are timely reviewed and approved inaccordance with the EPC contract requirements.

  • Review and propose mitigation for construction aspects ofthe Risk Management Plan and monitor the mitigation when agreed. Review allonshore construction changes, including justification for cost and scheduleimpacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.

Minimum Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or similar, relevant experience may betaken if coupled with HNC/HND.

  • 10 years’ experience in construction with at least 8 yearsdemonstrated at a senior construction level in major capital pipeline &cable projects within the offshore oil and gas industry.

  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendorsinvolved in the oil and gas industry

  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with peoplefrom variety of cultural backgrounds

  • Worldwide experience with contractors in particular thoseinvolved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus onteamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
