Job Purpose

· The Fabrication Quality Lead ensures the effective Quality implementation and oversight of the Contractor Quality activities at all fabrication and installation locations and provides participation in NCR and CAR clearance and investigation of debottlenecking activities to ensure effective resolution and clearance of punches, field inspection expertise and minimization of site equipment and preservation issues.

Key Job Accountabilities

  1. Ensures the implementation of project Quality Surveillance Tools.
  2. Assures that those responsible for the Construction Surveillance Plan comply with the deliverables of the plan as approved with frequent review of findings & metrics as they apply to NFPSI1P1
  3. Provides input to the Site Quality Surveillance Leads/Inspectors when developing and planning site assessments and verifications.
  4. Schedules and coordinate assessments of Inspection and Test Plan activities to ensure continued compliance to the Quality Plans and Procedures.
  5. Monitors Punch list exercises and develop and analyze trends.
  6. Conducts root cause evaluations as directed by Quality Lead.
  7. Monitors and tracks DR/CAR/NCR for compliance and completeness.
  8. Provides technical advice to PMT Engineering, Procurement and Construction on QA/QC.
  9. Works in co-operation with the site PMT Construction Managers, Field Engineers and Procurement Advisors on all QA/QC matters.
  10. Assist PMT in meeting QG Quality expectations.
  11. Responsible for implementing and recording construction quality surveillance programs, monitoring Contractor performance and review of the Punch List submittals.
  12. Provides a liaison role between PMT Site Inspectors and their effective surveillance and punch list responsibilities.
  13. Participates in NCR and CAR clearance and investigation of debottlenecking activities to ensure effective resolution and clearance of punches.
  14. Follows established structured methodologies in defining and completing projects.

Person Specification – Minimum Requirements


· Bachelor or Associates degree in Engineering or Science preferred,

Knowledge and/or Experience

· 15 years experience associated with Quality Assurance and Quality Control executing Major projects including Major fabrication and installation of offshore assets

· Minimum 5 years experience working in the Middle east with prior experience of executing projects for the state of Qatar.

Technical and Business Skills

· Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.

· Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negociation and facilitation skills.

· Ability to manage development and implementation of Projects Managements Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry.

· Ability to interact with senior leader in QG, and shareholders confidently.

· Requires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
