27/11 - Lars Schleeman, Ian Draper, James FB – met todiscuss additional requirements for Solar in PNG. They are wishing to setup aFSR program (Field service Rep) with roving technicians to service existingcustomers. This will minimise the need to have FSRs flying in from Aus. They’reexpecting their workforce in PNG to grow over 2019. Wishing to bring on twomore trainee technicians, they have exhausted the pool of candidates in theirnetwork and are wishing to advertise and recruit through Applus, then run oncontract labour hire for 6 months. This would include training in Australia.

The would be paid slight less than Cain who is on approxK30/hr, 2400/FN, 63,000/annum. The strong prefence is to be POM based andworking a Mon-Fri job, this ensure maximum training time and that the staffaren’t disappearing every 4 week on a month leave. Lars reviewed othercandidates and was interested to see that Derek Narara was available. They willtouch base with their Exxon colleagues regarding Derek. Jeremiah Tamate was ano – as he seemed to struggle to work autonomously and was very rarelymotivated to work when the managers weren’t around. Lars to review a draftadvertisement and costs to be provided to him. Other candidates from Patricia’sinitial search to be presented: Michael Luwong, Moses Martin, Derek Narara,Tarashiape Wiriasong, Buka Tombon. Buka was of interest but wouldn’t be suitablefor the trainee role due to his salary, float him across to be considered forany other opportunity.

Ian is planning a trip to Sri Lanka with wife for theirwedding anniversary, and hopes to get in some surfing. Next meeting suggestedto be at Savanahh Heights.
