An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Country Manager to join our Client who specialise in Manpower/Technical Staffing Services, Vendor Inspection/Surveillance/Third Party Inspection, Lifting Equipment, Rope Access and Asset Integrity based in Korea

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the Country Manager (Korea) will be responsible for overseeing the profitability of the office, manage the office day-to-day operations while maintaining high standard of operations effectiveness.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide leadership to team to achieve Corporate objectives
  • Develop and implement country sales strategies that are in line with Corporate strategies
  • Responsible for achieving revenue and margin targets set by the Company in Korean market
  • Overall P&L responsibility to ensure long-term business sustainability and profitability for assigned market
  • Work with Business Development to conduct business opportunities in Korea, identify target markets and develop appropriate sales strategies
  • Develop and expand business opportunities in Korean market by leveraging on Group's existing clientele base as well as grow new ones
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management to meet expected organizational performance with budget
  • Work in close liaison with Group's business lines and department managers
  • Establish and maintain appropriate system for measuring operational performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper implementation and compliant of local specific and regional HSEQ process and procedures
  • Ensure all systems and best practices are implemented by relevant regional office department managers as per agreed timelines with head office
  • Ensure high safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Development of training business and introduction of IRATA standards
  • Accountable for HQ and Management reporting
  • Render support to regional offices as and when required

Experience required:

  • Experience of managing an engineering service business in Korea
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • Proven ability in commercial and operational management
  • Management and field experience in testing, inspection and certification
  • Excellent networking and business development skills
  • Service oriented and able to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Proven track record of ability to plan and control budget to meet financial goals
  • Finance management skills consistent with P&L accountability and responsibility for managing a legal entity
  • Result oriented and cost minded
