Role Project Engineer

Salary circa £35k

Status Fixed term contract (12 months)

Location Coventry

A position has become available to join a leading international team, as part of a pioneering project researching the electrification of marine and land vessels. The role is part of a multidisciplinary research looking at addressing the pertinent challenges of energy storage and sustainable mobility. The role will see you build real-time low fidelity models with MATLAB and Simulink. There will be scope to contribute research findings to academic publications and technical reports, as well as disseminating research findings to encourage implementation in industry.

Ideally candidates will have:

  • Relevant PhD/ Masters - demonstrable experience of quantitative and qualitative research
  • Ability to design, plan, organise, implement and deliver projects to tight deadlines
  • A working knowledge of energy management control systems for electric/ hybrid vehicles
  • Evidence capability for data processing, model-based control engineering - MATLAB and Simulink
  • Ability to deliver rapid, commercially focussed results
